More About Ray Barger

Ray Barger was born in a log cabin on Leatherwood Creek in Eastern Kentucky. After World War II, his family moved to Lexington, Kentucky, where he later left at 16 for boarding school. Ray served 25 years in the U.S. Army. This includes Korea and Vietnam. He became a Physician Assistant. After earning a master’s in health education, he worked in healthcare. Ray retired to a farm in Tennessee, where he now lives near his youngest son.
